We operate a single fare structure that is at the core for all journeys – however the way the tariff is selected can impact your fare, here we will explain the differences.
Firstly the basics – fares are derived from the vehicle type, distance travelled and waiting time.
If you call us and ask for a car from A to B then a standard tariff is selected – this means that the driver records the distance travelled then calculates the appropriate fare. If you have the same journey and the driver uses a different route then the overall distance may be different resulting in a different fare – all fares are subject to waiting time being added if for any reason your not ready at the appointed time or perhaps you stop en-route.
If you call us and ask for a car from A to B but ask us for a quote then we select the most direct route and provide you with a fixed price for that journey – now to ensure that you pay the amount we have quoted you we select a quote tariff – this locks the price for the journey providing you start and complete at point A & B as told to us when booked – the driver can select any route, any distance but the fare will be as quoted to you – all fares are subject to waiting time being added if for any reason your not ready at the appointed time or perhaps you stop en-route.
We also have various automated booking systems – these use a slightly more aggressive pricing structure – fares are always displayed prior to booking when using any of the automated systems with the exception of automated voice and text – these will work on a standard tariff.
Remember our fares increase slightly from 17.00 to 05.59 when we operate a night tariff.
Keep in mind that if you have different size vehicles this will change the fare also – estate cars and 6 seater vehicles will be charged at a higher rate.
Fares for journeys if booked using the same method, vehicle type and driven using the same route will always be the same – differences can occur for any of the above reasons.
