The Delaunay

If your a fan of a great breakfast (we all should be!) then for something very special you need to experience The Delaunay located at Aldwych.

Try the ‘THE ENGLISH’ which has – Eggs fried, poached or scrambled with Bacon, Sausage, Tomato, Black Pudding, Baked Beans and Mushroom – however this is one of the best breakfasts in London.

Roys Pie & Mash

Directly opposite Sainsbury’s your going to find Roys Pie & Mash – it’s a tradition and the cockney way to enjoy a Pie, Mash and Liquor – we are lucky we can just stroll down to Roys.

Did you know that the eels came about because back in the day (1800’s) they were one of the few fish that could survive in the polluted Thames. They were also commonly baked into the crust of the pie!

RHS Garden Hyde Hall

The Royal Horticultural Society has a 360 acre site at Hyde Hall – a typical timber frame Essex farmhouse dating back to the 18th century – it has always had a dynamic garden due to the challenging nature of low rainfall and exposed location.

Beautiful gardens and a cafe will allow you to enjoy this lovely estate at all times of the year – they even have a plant centre so you can add to your own garden.

Rainham Marshes

Since 2000 the RSPB has worked hard to transform this ancient landscape of medieval marshes into a haven for nature and another great place for you to visit. You can see birds all though the year here.

With a visitor centre that has huge windows for you to take in the marshes – a shop and a cafe and even a wildlife garden! They have a busy events programme so there is always something to do.
