All hail a British classic! Greggs tasty Sausage Rolls have developed a bit of a following over the years. And it’s easy to see why.

Freshly baked in their shops throughout the day, these family favourites are made from seasoned sausage meat and wrapped in layers of crisp, golden puff pastry.

A firm favourite locally for Chinese food is the Peking Garden located just around the corner from the High Street on Station Lane – next to Chimichanga.

Always good reviews for this restaurant which serves some very tasty dishes – our personal faves are ‘smoked chicken’ along with some ‘crispy aromatic duck’ – how could you not love duck and pancakes 😉 all with an ice cold Tsingtao Beer!

Directly opposite Sainsbury’s your going to find Roys Pie & Mash – it’s a tradition and the cockney way to enjoy a Pie, Mash and Liquor – we are lucky we can just stroll down to Roys.

Did you know that the eels came about because back in the day (1800’s) they were one of the few fish that could survive in the polluted Thames. They were also commonly baked into the crust of the pie!
